Timeline for RDS Aurora Backup Support

Post by chrisw_au » 1 person likes this post

As the subject implies is their any timeline known for when support for Aurora databases will be added?

Also can anyone technical from Veeam lurking on these forums elaborate on why supporting Aurora was more difficult than standard RDS?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris, we have this on our roadmap but we can’t provide an ETA on this. Is this your most used database or just one of them?

All our databases in AWS are Aurora Postgres or Aurora Mysql (across all the environments we support we have about 50 of them we want to be backing up with Veeam for AWS)

Thanks for the information. We have it on our roadmap but I can’t provide an ETA for now. I will update this thread once we get closer to it.

Hi Martijn,

No update yet on an ETA but as soon as we have one, we will update this thread. Would be good to know which one you use (MySQL/Postgres) and the amount of servers/setup. Feel free to DM me with some details if you can share. It will be greatly appreciated!
