hi
veeam em, managing about 100 jobs, the db has gotten to about 150gb and growing
why is that? and how can i minimize that if any?

Hello,
If I assume that you have at least 100 VMs per job (meaning you have at least 10k VMs), then that size sounds small for me. So it depends on your setup. Many objects & sessions = large database.
Which Veeam version are you running? How many versions are you using Veeam already? 10a brings improvements on cleaning up old data.

it seems that the log file is the big one, not the db
how can i truncate manually? maybe that's the issue?

or switch the database recovery mode to "simple" (you are probably on "full" now)
