Case #04653335
I need to configure a backup of files from a Debian 10 machine.
I downloaded Veeam B&R 10, installed it on Windows Server 2019 Standard machine.
I created a separate veeamroot user on the Debian machine, modified the sudoers file for veeamroot according to https://www.veeam.com/kb2676. Added Debian machine to Veeam B&R: Veeam B&R - Inventory - Backup Infrastructure - Add Server - Linux, installed the agent using 'Install Agent' in Veeam console.
Then created Backup Job: Backup Mode - File level backup, Objects - /home/veeamroot, Storage - Default Backup Repository.
The backup completes with an error, on the agent side it says:
12:43:53 [error] Failed to perform managed backup
12:43:53 [error] No objects to backup
Could you tell me what the problem is?

Re: File level backup error on Debian machine
Hi,
If the file-level backup has been configured to use snapshot, then /home/veeamroot must reside on a filesystem that is supported by veeamsnap. If that's not the case, then you have to select "backup directly from live filesystem" checkbox in order to make it work.
Thanks!
