Copy Mode and failed drives

Post by collinp »

Hopefully, this is the most appropriate forum for this question. Is anyone seeing frequent drive failures on backup repositories when using RFS/Fast Clone/Copy Mode to the cloud? We are pretty much in a perpetual state of drive failure. They are new HP Proliants with larger size SATA drives. I don't know if it is that larger drives are not as reliable or if the combination of technologies I am using to read and write from the drives is harder on the drives.

That’s quite odd. Capacity tier would only be coping the data from the repo to capacity tier so it’s not really expected to cause these types of issues.
