After Upgrade v11 - no connection to database

Hi everyone,

just upgraded my v10 to v11 VeeamOne.

Can't login into the VeeamOne Client anymore, still says database not connected (services are all up and running)
The thing is, the web client is working and updating data...

I checked the configuration tool in the install folder, a test connection to the database is successfully.


In the eventlog I get an Kerberos related error which might has something to do with this. (THis event started with the Upgrade to v11 - wasn't present before that)

The Kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from server "hvveeamone $". The target name used was MSSQLSvc / HVVeeamONE.HVCluster1.local: veeamsql2012. This indicates that the target server was unable to decrypt the token provided by the client. This can occur if the target server principal name (SPN) is not registered with the account that the target service is using. Make sure that the target SPN is only registered with the account used by the server. This error can also occur if the password for the target service account does not match the password configured in the Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) for the target service. Make sure the service on the server and in the KDC are both configured to use the same password. If the server name is not fully qualified and the target domain (HVCLUSTER1.LOCAL) is different from the client domain (HVCLUSTER1.LOCAL), check whether there are server accounts with the same name in these two domains or use the fully qualified name to identify the server to identify

Hi Patrick,

when you open the support case, you can take a look at this old thread with the same error, might give you a hint.
Anyway Support case ID is required, so we could monitor the issue.
