private subnet question

Post by edward.hang »

Hi, We use private subnet for our ec2 instances and have placed the appliance on the same subnet. With regards to the worker instance, do you have more information about using private ip address? or how to configure it to work with the worker instance?

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbaws ... tml?ver=30
To let Veeam Backup for AWS launch worker instances with private IPv4 addresses, the following endpoints must be configured for the selected subnet: sqs, ssm, ec2messages, ssmmessages. For information on how to configure endpoints, see AWS Documentation.

web console wizard
Auto-assign public IPv4
Warning: Auto IP-assignment is off. To work in a private network, you need to configure endpoints for Amazon services. For more information, see this KB

Actually, I think I know what this is referring to. Will report back after some testing.
