How to include the raid driver in Linux recovery media
We are testing the restoration of the bare metal server through veeam backup.
By adding the efi partition to the recovery media, I booted from the recovery media normally.
However, because the RAID driver could not be loaded, there are two partitions inside the server.
The configuration of the server is as follows.
Model: HPE DL120 Gen9
Array card: B140i
Raid: Raid1
OS: CentOS 7
summary. I would like to know how to load the RAID driver from recovery media.

Hello and welcome to the R&D forums kongo,
To clarify: you are referring to Linux recovery media, right?

Re: How to include the raid driver in Linux recovery media
I believe the OP is asking about hardware RAID and not about software RAID.
The Veeam documentation states that you can add drivers while creating the custom recovery ISO with the patchISO function:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=50
I'm afraid I've never done this, so can't offer more help than that.

Re: How to include the raid driver in Linux recovery media
Drivers from the original machine are supposed to be included automatically alongside with the kernel when the ISO is patched. If that doesn't happen, then one can try adding the required modules onto the media manually using --copy <additional_path>
Thanks
Thanks

Thank you for your reply.
May I know where the RAID driver is located in CentOS7?
You create a recovery media, and even when you try to recover it, it looks like two disks without radar configuration. (/dev/sda, /dev/sdb)
Including the dd.img file on the HPE support site shows the same results.

@kongo,
Since the driver is not included automatically you need to install it the same way HP tells to do for Linux distro installation process. Please check this guide.
Thanks!
