I don‘t own a aws backup enviroment.
But it‘s possible, that you have forgotten to install the aws plugin on top of your vbr server?

If you are running services within AWS, you should use Veeam Backup for AWS to take care of backups & snapshots (see https://www.veeam.com/aws-backup.html).

If you also run an environment on-premise, you can use Veeam Backup & Replication with the plugin (which is included in v11 or requires manual download for v10) to deploy Veeam Backup for AWS and have the whole integration via the platform.

I am running VBR V11 as a VM in AWS. I want to be able to backupo VM's in AWS to my AWS Veeam Instance. I just dont see the AWS option when adding a server in VBR.

I understand that I have to add an ASW appliance, but VBR supposably has an option to creat that instance. But, again, I dont see that option in VBR.

May I ask why you want to use VBR and not just deploy Veeam Backup from AWS from the AWS marketplace to cover it? Since you will deploy the appliance, it also means extra costs for running VBR. Are you looking to use a specific VBR feature which is not present in VB for AWS?

The deployment guide covers all the steps you need to run through: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
