number of variables

Post by bkain1 »

referencing veeam-one-f28/powershell-script-to-forw ... 53-30.html, are those the only variables given, from V1? Will this be documented in the Veeam documentation, in the future?

Thank you

it does but it lists only 6 variables, not the 7th of "id". is that something that was created on the fly?

Not really :). I suspect the documentation was not updated during the last changes. I'll speak to our TW team to make sure the documentation is actual.

Becki,

As of now, you may refer to the below lists:

Alarm Notification scripts:
%1 - alarm name;
%2 - object name (source);
%3 - alarm summary;
%4 - date and time when alarm triggered;
%5 - alarm status;
%6 - previous alarm status;
%7 - triggered alarm ID, which is unique for each alarm-object bundle.

Remediation Action scripts:
%1 – alarm name;
%2 – object name (source);
%3 – date and time when alarm triggered;
%4 – alarm status;
%5 – child object name, if exists (job, VM, disk, etc.);
%6 - triggered alarm ID, which is unique for each alarm-object bundle.

Thanks

The documentation has been updated. If you do not see the changes, give CTRL+SHIFT+R a try.

Yes, we've actualized this information across all the most recent Veeam ONE documentation. The link I shared above contains a link to the most recent version of the HTML document if you dislike working with PDF.

The list is the same across all most recent documents and it is also present in the PDF you are sharing. Please, give CTRL+F, %1 a try.

page 77, i'm seeing it now, for the email and including the variables. It looks like the order was changed and the variables were changed, in how they are named? I can't bring up my v1 box right now to test.

The only thing that has changed is the documentation, which now correctly describes the available variables. The page you should refer to has number 34 - not sure how the search using the "%1" keyword could get you to 77th. Page 77 highlights variables for email template customization and not the alarm variables for passing to a script which are two completely different functionalities.
