Hyper-V Host CPU scheduling alert

Post by jannep »

Hi!
I was wondering if I´m getting false alerts or if I need to adjust the monitor for "Host CPU Scheduling analysis" or if I´m actually having an issue?

I get this error:
Alert Monitor: Veeam Hyper-V: Host CPU Scheduling Analysis
Created: 2021-04-02 10:55:04
This Hyper-V Host has high overall CPU Dispatch wait time of 34.8% over 3 samples. With maximum wait time across all cores 34.68%

Top VMs by CPU usage:
VM - % Total Runtime per Host - % Guest Runtime per Host
srv1 - 0.6041666666666666 - 0.5

The alerts is triggering on a hyper-v host with only one vm? There should not be any wait time for CPU?

Hyper-V host: 2019 server 2 sockets, 24 cores, 48 logical cpiu:s , 256 GB RAM.
Latest Veeam MP.
VM: one vcpu

Hi Jan,

It's hard to tell what's going on there without analyzing the logs and all the details. Could you please open a support case and share your case ID here so we could keep an eye on the case flow?

Thanks

Thanks. I've asked our tech. support team to assign your case correctly and have a look at the details. Let's see what they will discover.
