Veeam ONE Reporer exclusion masks

Post by odge »

Its easy to make a report that uses an exclusion mask (ie protected VMs) exclude some like replicas

but how do you make it exclude *replica* and *lab* ?

Hi Matthew,

Have you tried using semicolon to separate *replica* and *lab*?

Thanks!

This is a pretty old post, but I just wanted to chime in and say that adding the semicolon worked, in case anyone else runs into this issue. You can use the following formatting for exclusion masks:

SERVER1;SERVER2;SERV*;*ERV*

Wildcards are supported in multiple places. Unfortunately the documentation for Veeam ONE isn't very clear in this regard. Hope this helps!

Hi Michael,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for following this up!

Yes, the coverage of the exclusion rule functionality could be more verbose in that regard. I've contacted our technical writers team to improve that in the future.
Also, please keep in mind that you may provide feedback directly to them by pressing the "Send feedback" button at the bottom of the documentation webpage.

Thanks,
nikolaj
