Why a new Full-Backup ?
Hi Everyone,
We have set up a File to Tape Job to save a File-Share for Long Retention (120 Months in the media pool) on 9. Dec 2020.
The Job don't include a full Schedule, always only incremental.
Now the last run started a full backup and i don't know why ?
All tapes are available, the retention date for the first tape is 12/10/2030.
Who can explain this ?

Hi Hartmut,
Most likely, there is some issue with the tape catalog. Anyway, it's just a guess so I would strongly suggest contacting our technical support engineers directly.

Can you please clarify how the file to tape job was started (i.e. manually or according to the schedule)? Any chance you've modified the list of source items or moved source files? Thank you!

The Job started per schedule. And i think, i've not modified the source list.
i can send the session report to you (didn't find a way to attach this file now).

Hello Hartmut,
Thank your for the heads up! Unfortunately email report wont help in such situation - full debug log analysis is required to understand why you had full job run instead of incremental. Can you please raise a case and share the case ID with us?
