Hello,
I am trying to restore a vm to AWS from on-prem. We were able to get a 100 GB VM to restore but we have one that is 200GB and has two drives that fails. I believe that it copies to S3 fine but fails when importing to EC2. We are not using the AWS proxy in this case because we are troubleshooting an issue with it use.
The error is :
We haven't seen similar issues before, so, keep working with the support team on identifying the root cause of the problem and potential ways to address it. Thanks!
Hi
I had a case with Veeam (04717058) that "seemed" very close to the one described by eulie1
In the end I was supplied with a personal hot fix that allowed me to restore an on-prem EC2 to an AWS EC2 instance where EC2 instance contained more than a single disk.
My Veeam rep says the fix will be integrated into the next release of V11. I am currently using V10
Hope this helps, not knowing if my issue is exactly the same as eulie1 could give you the wrong steer.
BTW: I was using a proxy
Yes, exactly the same issue.. restoring VM that have more than a disk fail.
For what i see, it seems that veeam creates snapshot on EC2 with different name than the one that appears in the restore job.. and then obviously fail while finding them.
I've alredy open a support case ( 04767785) and i'm on V11, so the hotfix for V10 will not work for me.
