Rearrange repositories

Post by johannesk »

hi,

Our proxy server are using 20TB disk that will be full in few weeks time.

We could go ahead and inrease the capacity of that disk. But I rather have more smaller disks.

The disk in question are only used for one job, mailbox backup.

Since the repository organizes the backup into yearly folders. Is it possible to move data containing mailbox backup with email data from years ago without compromizing the ability to restore?

Or how have others been solving similar issues?

Regards,
Jóhannes

Just moving the yearly folders won't work. In order to solve/adjust this, you will need to create multiple jobs and specify a repository per job in which you add a specific M365 group or users. You can create new repositories and use PowerShell to move data using Move-VBOEntityData.
