Problem with proxy remote install - firewall problem?

Hi !
I think veeam is great and i`m really happy that it`s out now, as this will solve our branch-office backup problem.

Anyway - when installing Veeam V6 Proxy on a remote Server, in the "new windows server" window i`m getting:

Collecting hardware info - ok
Detecting OS version - ok
Creating temporary folder - ok
Uploading package VeeamTransport.msi - ok
Installing package VeeamTransport.msi Error: The remote procedure call failed.
Failed to install missing pacakges. The remote procedure call failed
Failed to save Microsoft Windows Server. The remote procedure call failed.

this is not the 100% exact message, because i just write it down from a screenshot. some text is clipped. If more details are needed, i can send that tomorrow.

But one Question:
As the install is via a wan connection between backup-server and proxy-server, i assume there is some firewall rule in place causing this problem.
What ports need to be opened for veeam to work correctly?
I did not find that information in the docs and in the forum and i`m sure our network admin will not like it to open up the firewall with an any-any rule....

So what ports should i tell him to open the firewall for ?

Did you know that you could install it manually by running VeeamTransport.msi on the target server?

No probs. Once you install, go through the wizard normally and it should detect its presence and not attempt to install.

ok, thanks. will be firewall/ports information (i.e. what`s needed for veeam) added somewhere, though? it`s always a hassle for sysadmins + network admins to find that out by trial & error or network sniffing. the vendor knows best and you can never be sure that you opened all necessary ports.... if it`s not being planned to document that, i would probably open up a documentation-thread and add what i can find out and others could also share their information....
