Remove missing restore points

Hi,

I have a file share backup job that gives me an error

"Failed to archive restore point 05/01/21 10:20:01 PM: Error: Agent: Failed to process method {NasMaster.RetainShortTermWithLongTerm}: Invalid retain point"

Is there a way to remove a missing restore point of a file share backup job?

There's no functionality similar to this one for NAS Backup. I would rather investigate the reasons for this error in the first place. Have you contacted technical support already?

We did but they advise to run full backup again which i don't want to do. I just want to delete the missing chain and start from there.

Hi storageguy,

Try to start health check on the job, it should detect the missing files. If you are confident that these files are no longer needed (they are not recoverable), right click the job after health check activity is finalized and hit repair. Cheers!
