im trying to add another office 365 org to my vbo365 . the global admin account has MFA enabled.
does Veeam support this?
should i use modern on legacy authentication?

Don‘t use your global Admin Account to backup with Veeam. Create a dedicated user for that with the necessary rights. Everything is in the guide:

It depends on your O365 environment what you can do. You have to know what is allowed and what not. It‘s not entirely a veeam related question.
I recommend option 2 at the moment. You will get the most features in a secure way at the moment:
