Combining backup methods

Folks,

We are backing up our physical file server failover cluster with a good old agent backup job.

Hypothetically, would it be possible to backup the volumes in the cluster with a File Share backup job without damaging the backup chain and CBT for the existing job? I.E., taking advantage of the version handling and other features in the File Share backup, and still keep the failover cluster backup?

"NAS backup job" and "Agent Backup Jobs" are not using the same CBT information.
