Exchange DAG 2016 - nodes only?

Post by Cheapers »

Hi, if I create a Protection Group for Exchange DAG 2016, I just add the nodes? It doesn't seem to be able to find a "cluster name" (like for a Windows Cluster or SQL Cluster for example). If so, is it correct that when creating a job for Exchange DAG, it doesn't is Type "Failover Cluster", but Type "Server"? Thanks!

Hello,

You may use Veeam Agent for Windows in the managed mode to protect Exchange 2010 or newer. This page can give you a better idea of DAG processing workflow.

Thanks!

Thanks! Seems we have an "IP less DAG", so we add the nodes (manually) to the Protection Group and use Type "Failover Cluster" for the job.

Cheapers,

To clarify, you cant add single hosts to failover cluster job type (it requires cluster account), for IP less DAG regular server job type should work without issues.
