Veeam native encryption or Synology NAS encryption

Hi,
I've been asked to start encrypting our local disk backups. Besides Veeam's ability to encrypt backups I notice that our Synology NAS has it's own encryption technology. What's your experience? Which way would you go?

I would prefer veeams own encryption technology ower the nas encryption.

With only synology encryption, If someone gets access to the files on the synology nas over the network, he can access the data in the backup files.

If you have enabled veeam encryption, he can not Access the data in the restore points without the password.

You could try both. One for filecontent accessed over network, the other for the entire disk content if the disks/nas gets physical stolen.
