Veeam FLR on a CDP replica

Hi everyone, I have a question. As I see, the file level restore as well as other features (sure replica, planned failover, cloud connect) doesn't work on CDP replica. My question is: if I schedule a long term retention policy on a CDP job (so with snapshot, application consistency and so on...) can I use FLR and that features on that restore points?

Hello,
long term retention always exists with CDP. It's _not_ a snapshot.

If you do the classic replication, that would still work, yes.

Thank you, but I'm a bit confused. With Long Term retention I can configure an application consistent backup, and it uses a snapshot.
When you say "if you do the classic replication" what you mean? You schedule a CDP job and a Replication job on the same machine?

CDP does _not_ use snapshots I recommend checking out with support where that snapshot comes from (please post the case number for reference).

Yes, CDP and replication can be scheduled on the same machine.

Ok CDP doesnt use snapshot. But if I click to Schedule how can it make a application consistent without the use of snapshot?

inside the VM there is still the VSS snapshot for application consistency.

I was assuming that you are talking about VMware snapshots.

Hi, i've tested CDP on DAG environmet, it's great but even if it's more robust then continuos replication it has not same important func (for ex restore single mailbox items, restore mailbox to pst etc), do you know if this there will be in next release?

Next release will be a minor one - 11a and it will bring no changes for this matter. As to the next major release, it's too early to talk about its features. Thanks!
