enhancement request, alarm on failed restore

second enhancement request, we've discovered that if a restore fails, there is nothing sent to V1. I was told the information might be in the vbr history but not how to dump it to a file. Is that possible now or can I make this enhancement request? thanks

Becki, if you need to see that in the list, then you can use our predefined report in the Assessment report pack > Restore Operator Activity

Backup source (backup or storage snapshot) should not matter here. Thanks!

k. then I'll look at that report. I've honestly still not had the cycles to crack any manual yet, VBR or V1

Hi Becki,

In VONE v11 the Restore operator activity report only shows instant VM recovery restores from storage snapshots and does not show instant disk, guest OS file, application item, and database restores from storage snapshots. In general, VONE v11 does not provide support for storage snapshots, but we will keep monitoring the demand for this functionality.

The request for failed restore alarm is noted.

If the VBR called the Netapp to do the snapshot, not the Netapp doing it, itself, then the failed restore would be logged?

No. The Restore activity alarm that also highlights if a restore has failed currently does not support restores from storage snapshots.
