I excluded via tag. the link to that post would be useful to answer on it

so you have a job that use tags to select VM (in my case it's tag combination) and in app aware you have another tag added to exclude some vms ?

I used two tags (windows / linux) in the machine selection



the same tags are available in the guest processing settings





The other thing I just did right now is the following
- add Linux VM with tag
- enable guest processing with default windows credentials
- keep the "Linux" tag application processing to "require success"
- add the second "No-AAIP" tag and set "disabled" for application processing. That overrides the "require success"


It works fine. To make that second option work, there is the "show full hierarchy" checkbox"

I am experiencing this exact behavior with 6 linux vms running centos as well as the linux va for vcenter. Any ideas?

use direct VM exclusion....

not a valid answer for me

if it's not possible to use tag for exclusion, we should have an error we try to do it
for me it's a bug. when a vm is in two different application aware rules, the more restrictive (disabled) should "win"

agree, looks like a bug related to the AND operator to me. I cannot understand anything in that French case, but I will talk to support

support just answer me that it seems to be a "bug" which should be resolved in v12
