Upgrade VEEAM 11 with linux agent 3.0.2

Post by pititof91 »

Hello

Sorry for my english.
I have a technical and compatibility question.
I have a VEEAM 9.5 update 4b server that I will migrate to 11.
However, I have a few physical machines in Cent OS 7.6 with a veeam 3.0.2.1185 agent

Before upgrading the agents later, I wanted to know if veeam 11 was compatible with this version of the agent in the event of a server upgrade, to be sure that my backups were running overnight.
thanks in advance.

Hi Christophe,

Version 11 is not compatible with Veeam Agent 3, however, v11 can update all of your managed agents to version 5.
I'd recommend going through the checklist before performing a server upgrade.
More information on available upgrade paths can be found in this KB article.

Thanks!

Hi Christophe,

VBR v11 supports tape libraries starting from generation 3 (LTO3).
According to Dell's specifications on TL2000, it provides support for the backup technology from LTO3 to LTO6, so there shouldn't be any compatibility issues.

Thanks.
