Comparison with Hycu
Hi
Does anyone have a document or some pre-sales material like a slide deck or feature comparison list, for comparing Veeam vs Hycu? I am currently using Hycu and need some ammo for persuading my boss to make the switch to Veeam.
Kind regards
H.A.

Re: Comparison with Hycu
Thanks I'll get in touch with sales soon
I've started a list of Pros for Veeam when compared to Hycu. So far I have got:
+ more functionality and a suite of products Veeam Availability Suite (VeeamONE performance monitoring of backup plus VM environment)
+ AD/DNS/GPO brick level restores
+ SQL brick level restores (is this true?)
+ lots of online documentation by both Veeam and IT Pros
+ large customer community/forum
+ ransomware protection with immutable storage options
+ DR automation possible with Veeam Orchestrator (extra cost)
+ restoring VMs to Azure or AWS is part of standard product functionality
+ Instant Restore feature to get a VM up and running immediately from backup files
+ SureBackup feature allows periodic automation of backup integrity checks
+ Virtual Lab, isolated vLAN for instant restore of VMs, run straight from backup files, destroyed afterwards, simplifies testing of new upgrades
+ Superior performance for NAS file backups
+ Backup methods supported: NBD, hot-add and direct from storage array
Are there any obvious pros for Veeam that I'm missing?

Re: Comparison with Hycu
We're simply not aware of Hycu capabilities in principle, so we cannot advise you here. We can only tell you everything about our own products
May be some other users or partners who have experience with evaluating both solutions can chime in. Otherwise, I assume our sales reps should have additional information since they regularly face various competitors in their day to day work, so they should be able to share top N reasons why their prospects chose Veeam over some competitor.
