Backup merge ?

Post by nicolasross »

I have an agent backup of my home computer to my NAS. Recently I have re-installed from scratch and made a new backup job. So I have an "old" backup of my computer with many restore points. This "old" backup folded is then not attached to any job on my computer. Is there a way to merge all restore point into a single restore point, as I do not need anymore all that restore point, but only the last one.

Hello,
"map backup" is the way to continue an existing backup chain: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... backup-job

But that doesn't work for you, because you have two independent chains now. In that situation, you need to manually delete the old backup chain once it is outdated.

Best regards,
Hannes
