Hi fellas,
there is a VM on a W2k12R2 Hyper-V that won't start / run on a newer OS. The HW is from the "ice-ages" an I thought to build a 2012R2 VM w/nested virtualization on a 2019 host. This host is backed up w/VBR11. What will be in the backup of the "hyper-v vm" and if restored, will the nested VM be usable?
Any contribs welcome. Experiences anybody?
hRy

Re: Backing up a nested VM
Hello,
Hyper-V nested on VMware works fine (I know many labs including my own doing that). I expect Hyper-V nested on Hyper-V also to work fine.
Best regards,
Hannes
