Need Multiple Internet Throttle Rules

Post by jderab » 1 person likes this post

With multiple SOBR repositories over multiple ISP links, we need to be able to specify more than one "Internet" throttling rule. Likewise for different times of day. This seems a needless restriction.

You can create multiple rules normally, by specifying respective source IP and target IP ranges (where target range uses the range of your object storage provider data center).

+1 to this request. I've always been bothered by the format "IP Range". At minimum it would be really nice to be able to specify networks in CIDR notation.

But to the original commenter's point, you don't always know the object storage provider's IP range. And creating a rule for all non-local IP's is very difficult.

I think most of them specifically mention the IP ranges used (just an example).

And thank you for the feedback, your vote for multiple internet throttling rules has been counted.
