Since the migration to v11a three days ago the majority of our VMs are not offloaded to S3 anymore. This is a serious issue for us as we rely on immutability there. Case is open, but maybe someone here has an idea.
- offloading in not completely broken, some VMs are offloaded
- offload tasks seem to just ignore the affected VMs completely, there is nothing in the Console view about them
- a manually triggered tiering job (right click ->run tiering job now) also does not catch them, 0 to copy, 0 to move
- there was a strange issue during migration. In old v10 env we set all S3 buckets in maintenance mode. After migration in v11a those buckets were not in maintenance mode, they were all sealed.
There is not much in the log for the affected VMs, I just found those lines for one affected VM, it shows exactly the 3 backups that were not uploaded. I'm wondering what this warning is about. One performance extent is in sealed mode, but this is the case for 2 months now.
