Pre-defined recovery jobs?

Post by Jeroenix »

Hi all,

In our environment, we have classified our server VMs in order of priority. When things go wrong and a full recovery is needed I would like to be able to fire off pre-defined jobs to quickly recover the most critical VM's, followed by the lesser ones, etc. It would be great to be able to save your recovery jobs (just like the backup jobs) to have them ready to go. Right now, the only thing I can think of is to script them somehow.

Any thoughts on this? We have everything backed up and tested, but I would like to be prepared as well.

I think, VAO can help you with that task. It's an additional product dedicated for the orchestration of the disaster recovery tasks.

I will look into it. On first glance, it does what I need, plus I heard it's supposed to have password loss protection - a feature I also want.

Thanks!

Password loss Protection is a feature of the Veeam Enterprise Manager.
You can use it, if you have a VBR Enterprise or VBR Enterprise Plus Edition.

VAO ist the Veeam Availability Orchestrator and needs to be extra licensed.
