Enterprise Manager 11a - Still no AWS Policies visible

Post by scott.anderson »

Although we can add/deploy Veeam AWS to Veeam Backup & Replication console 11a, the AWS policy jobs are not shown the Enterprise Manager that the Backup & Replication instance is registered with.

Is there any time frame on when they might be available/visible within Enterprise Manager?

Hi Scott, there is currently no ETA for this. Are you only using VBR&EM or do you also use the VSPC? As we see requests for both integrations but most lean towards the console.

We have a Global customer who has VBR servers in multiple locations across the world, from Europe, Africa, South America and Australasia. They use a single EM with all of the VBR servers/vCentres etc all registered, to give them a global view of their Veeam infrastructure. They also have Veeam AWS in Europe and Australia which are managed by one of the VBR servers. The Veeam AWS policies are nicely visible/manageable from that VBR server, but do not show up in EM even though other "traditional" VBR jobs from that VBR server are visible in EM.

It would be extremely useful if the Veeam AWS policies were visible within EM as well.

I'm guessing that this might apply to Veeam Azure/Veeam GC as well?

So lets go the whole hog and make the request equal to all and get all of the cloud native Veeam backups that have been registered with VBR, fully visible in EM :)

Your guess is correct: currently cloud backup appliance policies are not visible or manageable via EM.

Let's count it as a feature request for future product versions.

Thanks!
