Backup of a server in a vlan

Hello,
I have the task to backup server in a VLAN. Unfortunately I took over the responsability for Veeam a while ago so I have very little knowledge. Also I find it hard to find infos in the manuals. There a so many of them and with the search I just seem to find infos an things we dont use (cloud connect,...)
Can you help me out on this one ? Or show me the right source of information?
