I do not see Lto-8 Drive

Hi. My case ID 05144117. The program VBR 9.5u4 does not see the drive Lto-8.

The drive is installed in the Windows Server 2008R2. Help me to understand..

and welcome to the forums.

Support can only help if log files are included in the case. As far as I see, they are missing.

It looks like drivers for the tape drives are installed on Windows. Here (on the forum), I can only recommend trying again to re-scan. If that does not work, then please continue working with support.

Note: 9.5U4 is very old and support ends in January 2022. So I recommend using version 11a (the latest version)

Hi. I have installed VBR11. But I still can't see the drive, but now there is another error: "Unable to perform Tape inventory for library HP MSL G3 Series 7.40: cannot lock tape drive". What am I doing wrong?

hmm, hard to guess on a forum... support should figure it out with the logfiles. There are a few topics with that message, but not sure how much they help
