CDP proxies disconectted

What Happens if we have a temporary network disconnection between the source and target CDP proxies? Does the I/O filter intercepts data of all I/O operations and sends this data to the source VMware CDP proxy ? Then?

In this case CDP will switch to its own change tracking mechanism meaning instead of sending actual block content it will just create a block map and mark there blocks that have changed during network outage. Once connection is re-established, policy will request the actual values for blocks present in the block map from production VM.
