Session history retention value reverts to default
I wanted to reduce retention from a year (default 53 weeks) to about 3 months (15 weeks). However after some time (about an hour), the value reverts to 53 weeks. v10P2.
Reasoning: session history takes over half of my SQL Express database and it's grown to 8-9GB, even with page compression and I want to squeeze a bit more life out of it.

Hi DonZoomik.
Do you have Veeam Enterprise Manager in place? In that case, make sure to align it's Event History Settings instead of VBR's(EM - Configuration - Settings - Session History) as it will overwrite managed VBR settings, causing value "revert" to default 53 weeks.
/Cheers!

Indeed, that seems to be the case.
We only use Enterprise manager for web-based restores so I didn't even think about trying that.

Re: Session history retention value reverts to default
Hi
Is there an option to set the logging per vbr in VEM. We want to set different retention time for specific vbr servers.
They are managed by the same VEM server.
Regards

No, you cannot set different session history retention periods for different backup servers. Thanks!
