4 Months to onboard a customer - Is there a way to improve it?

Hello everyone, we are a reseller and we are facing a problem to onboard one big customer. We registered them on December 13th and since that date we have already created one exclusive VBO server and proxy for this customer, changed the EWS throttling settings, to reduce the Microsoft Throttling, and also created 16 Auxiliary accounts, to help with OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams data.

Customer numbers - from Veeam calculator VBO:
  • Primary Mailbox: 20.01 TB – 1669 accounts
  • Archive – no
  • OneDrive: 10.87 TB – 1567 accounts
  • SharePoint 2.55 TB – 3320 accounts
  • Teams: 1.6 TB (Teams data come from Veeam reports)
We split their backup jobs in 8: 5 for Exchange (Shared, E1, E3, E5, and MSO-E3), 1 for OneDrive, 1 for SharePoint, and 1 for Teams.

For SharePoint and Teams, the first full backup is done, and for OneDrive it is 81% done. The problem is Exchange, that we have only 27% done.

Today we reach the 30 days running Exchange full backup, and we did only 27% of it. With this speed, we will need almost 4 months to finish this customer backup.

We checked our Internet bandwidth, and the backup jobs aren’t using 1% of it.

Is there anything else we can do to help with it?

Difficult to say. Honestly, I would create a support case for this so the logs can be investigated if we are running somewhere into an issue.
