Hello
I have a couple centos, debian vms with docker images and containers.
If someone by mistake deletes a image oder container, how can it me restored?
Can you guys please point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Re: How to Restore Docker images, containers ?
Hello hirratas,
You would need to restore container files or image file to the original location and restart Docker / Portainer to detect the changes back, so regular file level recovery from vmbackup or Linux agent backup should do the trick. Thanks!

Re: How to Restore Docker images, containers ?
Okay. Did you discuess or checked in the past if it is realistic or possible that a Docker integration would be possible?
I guess veeam could scan each docker server during backup and take note of the location of the container or image file, and if I want to restore a container/image it could restore the file/s and run a docker import so that the container/image is available again.

Re: How to Restore Docker images, containers ?
Hi hirratas,
Unfortunately such functionality is not planned. Mind me asking if you are using some sort of 'home made images' or same images are available at the public repos? Based on my experience with Docker I'd backup configuration files and the data (i.e. config files / databases or files from mount points presented to a container) while images could be downloaded from the repo. Thanks!

Re: How to Restore Docker images, containers ?
50:50. Some images can be easily recreated through config files or downloaded again, yes.
But some containers are heavily customized.
Thank your for the fast informations!
