No TTY Available?

Just started seeing this message in the logs regarding replications for two different guests.

2/5/2022 3:08:37 PM :: Unable to perform application-aware processing because connection to the guest could not be established: WARNING: Your password has expired.
Password change required but no TTY available.

One was for a linux server.

The other is for the vcenter 7.0 servers itself.

The passwords for these servers are not common.

Have you tried to login to the linux vm with the same credentials veeam uses? And if that works, can you change the password and try again in veeam?

For the vcenter, you should disable AAP. You won‘t have any benefits from it. A Consistent Database backup of the vcenter postgresql database must be done with vcenter methods.

Thanks for the info, does vcenter do its own postgresql data dump to flat file each night?

If you have configured it, then yes. Normally, image based backup is enough.
But to have a consistent backup of the postgresql db is always a good choice.

Thank you again for the info, just coming off of version 6 and have been accustomed to windows sql based backups of vcenter. I found the website for setting up dump files to another server. For anyone reading, login to vcenter on port 5480 to configure database dumps.
