Intermittent email notifications

Hi Guys,

I have opened a case with Veeam support, but they just archived it and closed it off, so thought I'd try my luck here. (Case #05251658)

I am having an issue with email notifications being sent upon job completion, in this instance there are two servers both running the same apps and both running a veeam agent backup. Each server has 2 backup jobs running on it one to VCC and one to a NAS, one of the server has no problem and both backups come through everyday like clockwork but the other will only send a notification from one of the jobs every few days. It never seems to be in a specific pattern, as the notifications are recorded and nothing lines up.

When looking at the jobs themselves they were successful, not even a warning, but where you would normally expect to see the "email notification sent" message you instead get one saying "Failed to send email notification: Unable to connect to SMTP server because of invalid credentials or connection settings."

I have checked these setting over and over and reset them and so on but I know the settings work as they are exactly the same as the ones on the other server which is located in the same place on the same network.

These credentials are using an O365 email running smtp.office365.com on port 587 with TLS enabled, I have tried the registry fix that was going around relating to TLS, I have made sure SMTPAuth wont prompt for 2FA on the account and various other things but still this one job wont send out email correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated

I have the same problem for weeks now.
Yesterday I updated Veeam Windows for free but from 4 clients I got only one confirmation mail. So the version is not the problem I think.
Sometimes I get no mails.
Sometimes from a different client.
Tests work fine. All e-mails were sent.
Started a few weeks ago.
No errors or failed backups. Just missing confirmation e-mails.
