Run first backup of one object in the job - case 05276939

Hello,
if backup job includes too many objects and customer would like to test first backup
in case of SQL or oracle backup we cannot use different job, because then moving VM from test job to original job will fail for transaction logs - "logs are active in first job"
is possible to run first backup for specific object in job?

Hello,
as of today there is no option to start one VM of a job.

I think this can be solved in V12. Before I test, can you please confirm that this is what you want to do?
1) there is an existing job that has databases and log shipping is running already
2) a new VM needs to be backed up
3) that new VM should be backed up with a new backup job to see that it works
4) the new VM should be integrated into the existing job with the existing other database servers

we want to test first backup, but do not to run backup for other servers from this job

hmm, the list is step 1-4. Not options.

There are plans for V12 to move VMs between jobs. I put it on my list to check later during development cycle.
