AWS and Veeam Backup for office 365

Hi,

Is there a guide on how to set up a local backup onto a AWS bucket?

We currently do office 365 backup to local on prem SAN and now i want to offload that onto a AWS bucket, i have set up a AWS Object Storage Repo, but cant see any way to get the job to point to that.

Hey,

You will need to create a new regular repository, and then on step 4 extend that repository to your object storage repo

thanks for that, i want to edit a current backup repo but the option is grayed out.



I need by current backup repo, i dont really want to create a new one and point jobs to that as i will lose the old backups.

Actually, you will not lose the old backups. They will remain there until their retention is over. So creating a new repo (which you will need to do as Jet DB and Object Storage repo are 2 completely different beasts) is necessary.

But there is also another possibility. You can create a new repository, and move the restore points from the Jet DB repo to the new OS repo through PowerShell. In any case, you will not loose your restore points.
