Replication of VM

Post by gustavomeza »

Hi,

I have a 2 jobs for a critical VM which work in production

- backup job: incremental/full bakcup inside advance option in storage, and schedule every one hour

- replication job programated every day at 10pm.

When I try to set up a replication (any day of the week except Sunday), i have problema with an application that run on the replate vm. When I set up the replication on Monday it´s work fine).

the question is if i need to set full backup every day to solve the problema.

The replication is between one VM in production environment (ESX A), and other environment (ESX B)

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Hi. No, you don't need to do anything special. Your current set up should work fine. Thanks!

There should not be any issues regardless of your schedule.

It is not clear what particular problem do you have with the application running inside this VM but as mentioned, it doesn't depend on when the full backup is created.
