AWS Permissions Check

Post by Dream_On »

I have assigned Administrator permissions to Role for Veeam Backup, but when Veeam is checking for permissions only IAM Access is green.
Going to Advisor and EC2, SQS and others have Administrator Access. What do I do wrong?

Hi,

You can use the Grant button to assign the missing permissions. Did you already try this as a solution?

You can find a full list of permissions in the user guide or if you want more delegated roles, in this part.

Hi,
I did try Grant button and used my admin ID credentials. Gess what? it says I do not have enough permissions. I guess, I need to study AWS security.
Thanks for the links, will try them tomorrow morning.
Regards from Australia.

Hi,
I have spent some time with AWS Support, and they are sure, that there is no issue from AWS. They logged me on with account using the same Role, and I was able to access S3, EC2, etc.
But Veeam still gives an error message but can backup/restore without any problems.

I have opened Case #05246421, but as a trial product, it does not get a lot of attention.

Problem was cosmetic, as permissions were working OK. It was out old test environment. I have installed new instance of Veeam AWS on new AWS environment and this problem has gone.
