Connection over network is blocked by network throttling rules.

Hello.

I have configured several workstations to be backed up by Veeam Agent daily.

However on 2 of them, the backup never starts.

I have to manually start them, and get the following question:

"Connection over network is blocked by network throttling rules. Perform backup anyway?"

When I try to change any setting of the Agent, it won't let me even with domain admin credentials. All checkboxes are greyed out.

The jobs are configured on the VBR as Windows Agent Policy in standalone mode.

Both are running Industry 4.0 software permanently monitoring industrial machines, which might be the reason why backup never starts but is also incidentally the reason why we need to back it up.

Any suggestions how to remove network throtteling to always start a daily backup?

Hello,
I would recommend opening a support ticket if you are facing unexpected and have used all the knowledge and used the guides we have online. My colleagues at Support can certainly debug this much quicker than us on the forum.

However, the only place where you can assign throttle rules to the Agents is here:


Besides that, VBR has more general throttling rules under General Settings, please check both and let us know.
