Hello everyone,
We're having a pretty major problem right now that we're hopefully on the verge of resolving, but it might get a little ugly. Last week, we lost one of our two datastores unexpectedly and have been having a terrible time trying to get it to mount. As expected, approximately half or less of our VMs resided on the unavailable datastore. Last night, we were finally able to stabilize the environment and the available datastore luckily has the Veeam B&R VM on it. The problem is, the database VM is on the unavailable datastore.
When I login into the Veeam server and try to login to the Veeam console, I get the following error:
Failed connection to Veeam Backup & Replication Server: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:9392
This was all working before. I went and added the port to the firewall as a guess, knowing that it likely wouldn't help. Could this be caused by the database being unavailable. Half of the Veeam services don't seem to want to start, which is probably part of this.
Edit: Just noticed the local firewall is off, so that can't be the problem.

Re: Question about Veeam and the database
Hi Joe, do you have a Veeam B&R configuration backup? You could repoint Veeam B&R to another server with a clean database and restore the config there to proceed.

Yes. I do have configuration backups. Would I be able to do a restore even though I cannot access the B&R console?

Re: Question about Veeam and the database
Ah...nevermind. I found the utility in the Start menu. I guess now all I need is a clean database and I'm rolling?
