We have an MS 2019 Exchange DAG cluster which are protected with Veeam B&R. There is a requirement from the client's side that every backup needs to be in every site (Prod & DR).
According to various articles there are two methods to backup a regular Exchange DAG cluster:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
This one basically backups a a DAG as a failover cluster.
vs.
https://www.veeam.com/kb2463 (end of the article)
This one creates a protection group without any cluster-related stuff and then _adds the two DAG nodes separately_ to a backup job.
For mystical reasons we have implemented the second method.
The backup and restore functions are working so far.
But when I try to add a secondary target to this job, the backup copy job is missing.
Or the same, If I try to add this job to a backup copy job, the backup job simply doesn't shows there as source.
I have tried to look everywhere, especially here ( https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110 ), but no success so far.
So is this a feature or a bug, that Veeam cannot do a backup copy job from a cluster?
It can do a tape job, but not a backup copy?!? Seems total nonsense to me, so I vote for a bug.

Any info on this would be appreciated.
Cheers!
