Question of restoring full Sharepoint Site

Post by gco »

Hello,

We are currently testing Veeam O365, during the complete restoration of a 2GB sharepoint site for example when Veeam generates the site on O365, it creates it with a storage limit of 1gb each time which causes a saturation during the restoration and therefore a failure.

Is there a setting that we missed? Thanks in advance !

Hey gco,

First: Welcome to the forums

Second: 1 GB seems weird. Can you look through this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharep ... age-limits
I am not sure where that 1 GB comes from, I remember it from quite some time ago but am not aware that this still is an issue today to be honest

Thanks for your feedback. However our default storage limit is 50GB (we are in manual) that's why we don't understand why Veeam generates a site with a quota of 1GB...

Hi gco,

We'll try to confirm the behavior on our side, but it'd be much faster if you assist us by opening a support case and sharing your logs for troubleshooting.

Thanks!

Some updates on this issue.
VB365 doesn't manage or restore storage limits for restored sites; these limits are applied automatically by the policies configured in your SharePoint environment.

So, please check your tenant settings in M365, and it doesn't help contact Veeam Support for assistance.
