Socket to VUL licence and support level

Post by sogapex »

Hello,
we are currently trying to add a new ESXi host to "unload" the primary host
Primary host = 2 x 2 sockets
New host = 1 socket
Current licence = B&R 4 sockets Essentials
And so, we got a "your socket licence has been exceeded" error while "backupping".

Inventory = 8 VMs (servers) and 7 windows agent (Users PC)

How does it translate to VULs ? and what would be the approximative cost ?
We also see there are 3 support levels : basic, premier and 24/7 uplift
=> but I can't find any useful information to tell me what are the differences between the 3 levels. Could you help me on this too ?

Thanks

Hi Sogapex

- 8 VMs will cost 8 VUL
- 7 Veeam Agent for Windows Workstation will cost 3 VUL (1VUL=3x Agent Workstation)
We also see there are 3 support levels : basic, premier and 24/7 uplift
but I can't find any useful information to tell me what are the differences between the 3 levels. Could you help me on this too ?
VUL is normally production level support. Basic is not available for VUL.
Our support levels are documented on this page: https://www.veeam.com/support-policy.html

I recommend to get in contact with your Veeam sales representative or chosen partner/reseller.
They can help you with all sales related questions and the correct migration path (Socket to VUL).

Thanks
