Hi folks,
Does Veeam 11 support in-place upgrade of backup reps (Windows Server 2016 > Server 2019) - and if so, are there any additional steps that need to be done from the Veeam server side post-upgrade? (ie. rescanning). Additionally - can the backup reps be on newer OS than the VBR server? (Again 2019 vs 2016)

Hello,
from Veeam side both is fine. The the challenge is more on the Windows side (although I have seen more and more customers saying that it works).
As rescanning is not costing extra money, I always recommend to rescan, to see whether communication is still working.
