Can you share more information regarding the case: what is the type of backup, where it is located, what is the repository type, what is the type of restore, what is the restore target, what restore session statistics show, etc.? Thanks!

Hi,

VM backup to a SoBR configure as a capacity tier to an AWS S3 storage. The performance tier is a Linux hardened repository.
The restore type is a full VM restore from objet storage.
The target is the vmware infrastructure
The mount server is the Veeam server himself. It's a VM place in the vmware infrastructure.
They are severals linux virtual proxies.

The restore session stats are :
In progress (0%)
272,2 KB / 80 GB
3 KB/s
Time remaining:

For restores executed from public cloud to local virtual infrastructure the bandwidth almost always is the slowest component in chain. But you can collect the debug logs, open a support ticket and let engineer verify on what exact step solution spends most time. Thanks!

If you are interested in finding the root cause of performance discrepancy, you might still want bring this issue to the support team. Good to know, though, that the issue did not appear on a fresh installation. Thanks!
